SIO Mumbra, JIH Mumbra and Save Faith Save Constitution forum of All India Muslim Personal Law Board under spearhead of Nationalist forum, along with many Dalit scholars from Navi Mumbai and Thane hold a Protest March on 25th Jan at Thane over the injustice and discrimination against minorities from the central govt. more especifically the rustication of five Dalit Research Students at University of Hyderabad resulting to the Suicide of one amongst them.
With around 700 Protester came out on the street to show solidarity seeking Justice for the Dalit Ph.D. Scholar "Rohit Vemula" and Peacefully demonstrated with a Rally. Starting from Thane station in front of "Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar" statue and culminated at Thane collector office covering major areas of Thane.
Minority and Dalit organizers were overwhelmed with the response and were Pleased with Muslim and Muslims organization standing along with same pain and agony for backward and tortured section of society.
SIO demands that a fair enquiry should be put over rustication and persecution of those students. The culprit behind this must be retributed.
