Introduction:
Students Islamic Organization of India is an ideological organization working in the country for preparing students and youth for the reconstruction of society in the divine guidance.
In order to understand SIO it is essential to have a good grasp on its views on Islam, student and organization. The Arabic word Islam signifies peace, dedication and absolute submission. In other words it is the path to peace through complete surrender to God.
SIO believes that the real function of education should be to impart genuine knowledge about life, existence and future. A real student is therefore one seeking for the realities about life and universe.
SIO believes that the function of the organization should not be to assemble as many people as possible by any means. But it is to transform the cadre into a crop of activists committed to ideals and gifted with inner strength.
SIO Aims:
SIO finds itself committed to impart genuine knowledge and awareness to students and getting them ready to become torchlight of morality and fighters against evils by reinforcing their own life. The organization will also strive for promoting moral values in educational system and better academic and moral atmosphere in educational institutions and to nurture the talents of students in such a way as to benefit the society. Above all, preference will be given to spread the truths as understood by the organization among the most critical group of civil society – students.
SIO Works:
All the above mentioned aims will be striven for only within the limits of morality and constructive peaceful manner. The organization shall keep away from anything that is contrary to truth and honesty and that may result in communal hatred and class struggle.
SIO Mumbra Achievements:
Since last 20 years, Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) – Mumbra unit has been organising various guidance programmes and campaigns for students like educational awareness & development campaign, career Guidance workshop & exhibition for SSC & HSC appeared students, various Scholarship guidance programme, campaigns like Save campus save India , Anti cyber evil day, turn to words your God, anti tobacco day, peace rally, flood relief , Education tours, Vacation Islamic camp, winter Islamic camp, Islamic knowledge test, Students festival (educational competition as well as Sports for School students). Thousands of students have benefited by above mentioned programmes being conducted by SIO Mumbra.

Full Day education & Career Guidance Workshop as well as Exhibition for SSC & HSC Appeared Students, Scholarship Guidance about Various Scholarship Schemes for Minorities by Government of India and Government of Maharashtra, Quraan Recitation classes, Summer Islamic camp, Vocational Islamic Camp, Children Festivals, Ramzan Welcome, Lectures on How to utilise vacation, Educational development Campaign, E-ethics day, Educational Tours for Students, Collective Mutaala-e-Quraan in the month of Ramdhan, Lecture Series for students.
